Rockoverdose.gr: Why did you choose to name the new album "Stalingrand" ? Is there a specific reason ?

WOLF: ACCEPT  has a long history of shedding light on various themes. We traditionally never stayed  away from controversies. STALINGRAD - as any other world-changing Battles are creating a culture of heroism about  personal sacrifices  featuring one story - mostly - that the Soldier has only one thing on his mind until his very last breath - killing the enemy. We talked about that Identically picture painted by the HISTORY MAKERS  and an opposing thought came up. 2 men dying and because dying might be a lonely business - the stumble into each others arms and have only ONE thought - comforting each other.  At that moment they learn one thing - they are brothers!  It is  - of course a fictional story, but it opens the possibility for another thought - in WARTIMES and in PEACETIMES the RULERS RUE OUT WHO IS YOUR FRIEND AND WHO IS YOUR ENEMY! It is all manipulation - we are all the same! We come and go the same way....in fact, WE ALL ARE BROTHERS & SISTERS. It is a complex story and Mark did the best he could to bring that up.  It's not an easy story to tell ..  as a song is only a few minutes long and this story embraces the history of mankind.... 

WOLF: The all defining, overlapping responsibility - since we " united"  with Mark has been, to stay as close as possible to that what ACCEPT has been defined by the fans - something new without changing the core elements and I believe we were able to deliver.
 

 

 

Rockoverdose.gr: Could you give us more details about the songwriting process you follow ?

WOLF: As for decades - we have a process - Peter and I are joined at the hips and our sparks ignite something in both of us....the rest is depending on the moment in life, where we are at that point. A Reflection of heart and soul and Life in general ...

WOLF: Obviously we were lucky, he did not "change" things,  but he is contributing his own characteristics in a way the fans do not have to adjust to something irritating. He carries the ACCEPT Flag with dignity and powerful grace. Who knows were we can go together.  If you take into consideration that we have been gone for a very long time, that we were able to dish out  BOOD OF THE NATIONS - tour the world twice and serve a meaty desert - STALINGRAD -  in less than 30 month, assured our fans - we mean what we say  and we are here to stay!  At east as long as the fans want us ....

WOLF: Times have changed and the audiences are more diversified - there is talent out there and they have their fans - so not much has changed in my opinion.

WOLF: That is hard to tell... each album reflects a special time n our life, and as situations change, my relation to our albums is changing constantly. However, I have to say, that I am mesmerized about the 2 last albums - because of the way it happened, because of the circumstances we all found each other - one more time! No on and I mean NO ONE (!) could have imagined that. 

WOLF:  Long story, but it started on one of our first tours in America - as everything changed in my life after that. However, I have been made aware by my wife Gaby, that I have a different way to see things. That was the beginning of a wonderful journey which lasts until this minute.  It is a world I feel 100% fascinated with and over the years I have been able to be more and more successful and I can do both - Music & photography!
